Mulching vs dozer work — what are you guys seeing?

Seeing more people ask for forestry mulching instead of bringing in a dozer.


Yeah it’s quicker and less mess, but on jobs where they actually need it cleared right (stumps, roots, grading), I still lean dozer. Mulching looks good at first but I’ve seen stuff grow back pretty quick depending on the site.


How are you guys handling it? Let the customer choose or do you push them one way?

I'd explain both sides, pros and cons and would give my thoughts about which one better based on my experience. If the client is leaning towards one side, I'd say fine, but explain what they should expect
