I got a frustrating issue with my D6 and I'm hoping someone's seen this before. The machine is a solid runner, but the dash cluster is driving me crazy. The entire dashboard, including the RPMs and gear indicator, goes completely dead. The odd part is, if I hit a big bump or a rough patch and the machine gets a good jar, everything lights back up and works perfectly for a while. Sometimes it's a few minutes, sometimes an hour. It's not a fuse, I've checked those. It feels like a bad connection or a loose wire but I'm not sure where's the best place to start on a D6. I'm thinking it's something to do with the main VIM or a ground wire somewhere, but any pointers on where to start looking first would be a huge help. Thanks in advance.

Okay, begin by taking a look at the VIM and the main ground close to the cab. These spots often have loose or rusty connections. Give the harness plugs a wiggle and see if they're loose or rusty too
