Odd flat idlers on our 6H

We picked up our 6H from a dealer in Arizona and have logged around 1,500 hours on it so far...but lately, I noticed something strange, the idler wheels are completely flat and don't match our undercarriage at all. I haven't seen another 6H configured like this.

If I remember correctly, this is a system-on-tracker system mod for the d6h, and there were some adjustments required to get things to fit correctly. The flat idler wheels could be because you're having tight track tension or debris. I'll mention downhill dozing, but it takes a lot to see this. Check the track tension and make sure the undercarriage config matches the specs.

Yeah I'll double-check the track tension and look for any debris, it sounds like some adjustments might be needed to match the undercarriage specs better

It's possible that it might have been swapped out at some point, or those are aftermarket replacements that weren't quite right. have you tried checking the part numbers on those idler wheels? this might help you find out if it is supposed to be for your 6H

@Bull's EYE either they sold you a frankenstein build or someone swapped parts before it hit the lot, call them up and demand answers tho, those won't hold up long, and they sure as hell don't belong on that setup

Wow, this really takes me back. A few years back, we picked up a used D5 from a small dealer. It seemed to be in great condition and ran well... until a few weeks later when I noticed the track adjusters were acting strange, and one of the idlers didn't match the rest. Turns out, someone had pieced together a mix of aftermarket parts and older OEM ones. I learned my lesson, always double-check those part numbers and setups before putting in a lot of hours. I'd recommend giving that dealer a call as well.
